DIY CD Cleaning

Sometimes your CD may not work if you touch the shiny side too much.. you realize this when the CD starts skipping in your player. This is frustrating, especially if you don't know how to fix it. But if this is your problem, and you're reading this now, you are in luck!! Because I have a method to solve this problemo! and it really does work. Ok! first make sure your CD is NOT scratched... because if it is, this won't help.
materials
  • No Oil Cleaner (I use Neutrogina Oil free liquid soap.. ehheh) Dishwasher soap works too
  • Faucet
  • Clean towel
Steps to a skipping free CD!
Gently put drops of the soap on the shiny surface of the cd, and use your index finger to gently smear the soap across the surface of the cd from inside of the hole out to the edge of the cd. DO NOT rub the cd in a circular motion or it will damage the cd. Then, run the cd under your faucet until the soap is completely gone. Then wipe the cd from inside to out (the same way you smeared the soap) with a towel until completely dry.
Thats it!! The CD should be un-skippable now! :)

NOTICE!!! I have tried this on 5+ of my own CD's and it ALL works. If it doesn't work, the quality shouldn't be worse than before it was washed...However, I am not responsible for any CDs that turn out worse... (although I'm pretty sure that won't happen lol )
